Since 1992, Orchid Pharma has been a pioneer of innovation. We are to date, the only Indian company to have invented a new chemical entity (NCE), Cefipime-Enmetazobactam. Orchid had out-licensed this to a European company, which has completed phase 3 trials and has got EMA and USFDA approval, for cUTI, with proven superiority against Piperacillin-Tazobactam. Orchid has retained the rights for India and will be launching this product soon.

As MD of Dhanuka Laboratories, in 2020 he took the reins of Orchid Pharma Ltd. with a clear vision: to transform it into an innovation-driven company providing top-quality products at competitive prices, even while doing good for public health.
Manish is passionate about propelling Orchid Pharma to global leadership in its chosen area of expertise. He sees R&D and scale as key drivers, and is actively implementing these strategies at Orchid Pharma, leveraging its world-class facilities.

A Whole-Time Director at Orchid Pharma, Mridul is a young, visionary leader with a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and achieving results. He played a pivotal role in the successful turnaround of Orchid Pharma following its acquisition by the Dhanuka Group. Now he is entrusted with supporting the future forward journey of Orchid Pharma.
With his understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and a keen eye for operational excellence, Mridul spearheaded a complete overhaul of Orchid's entire spend, resulting in significant reduction in costs and . This strategic move, coupled with his data-centric approach to decision-making, enabled Orchid to achieve profitability within the first year of the acquisition.
